Policy Matters Ohio issued a new report that the group says shows the highest rated district and charter schools in the urban 8 areas serve different populations that the districts do overall.
In response, the Ohio 8 Coalition said that the goal of the major urban districts is the same as all Ohio districts - to provide a high-quality education that prepares students for college and career.
The Ohio 8 said in response to the report that the goal of the major urban districts is the same as all Ohio districts, which is to provide a high-quality education that prepares students for college and career.
"And that's across the board at each school within each district," Canton City Schools Superintendent and Ohio 8 leadership member Adrian Allison said. "The Ohio 8 has always recognized the unique academic and non-academic challenges our students face but we have always remained determined to help them overcome these challenges.
"The Policy Matter study substantiates that our efforts have paid dividends with many of our students. We remain committed, however, to ensuring that all of our students are successful."
